Introducing Cen Li Li!

As you can imagine, it was really difficult sleeping last night knowing that we were meeting with Charlotte, the social worker at Wide Horizons for Children, to get the scoop on our new daughter - Miss Cen Li Li (we have yet to decide on how we wish her name to be throughout her life and will keep you posted).

Obviously the wait was worth it - she is beautiful and she is ours! We learned that Li has been living in foster care since she was a few days old and that her personality traits include being active, restless, fond of music, having a ready smile, and being obstinate sometimes. ;)

She is living in the north east area of the Jiangxi provience and we believe that we will be traveling to Nanchang when we finally go to meet her and bring her home.

A New Daughter Enters Our Lives

Here's the information on the newest member of our family. We are so excited! All we know so far is the basic information about her. Her name is Cen Li Li. The orphanage is located in a rural part of China and we expect to be traveling to the capital of the province, Nanchang. Right now our adoption agency has her pictures and medical information. They are translating the information from Chinese and then will overnight it to our social worker on Long Island. We expect to meet with her on Wednesday to receive all the information. The usual time to arrange travel is about two months, so we expect to travel to China in late January or early February. The trip should be for two weeks.
